​Tucked away in a commercial block along Kitchener's Victoria Street between Duke and Weber, J & B Family Restaurant is nearly hidden -- unlike co-owner Jovica Miljevic's passion for his native-Serbian cooking, which is quickly evident.

​Miljevic and Vasic have renovated the restaurant's interior and kept it fairly casual: with linen on the table and in your lap, you can observe mural-sized paintings (a quaint village and map of eastern Europe), flower vases, a couple of booths, a modest bar area and interesting assemblies suspended from the ceiling and painted to look like clouds in a blue sky. They wanted a European feel -- and patio​ regulars sipping coffee, smoking and talking about soccer and politics certainly help.​
